Nighttime Lane Closures on I-93 in Derry/Londonderry

Multiple southbound lanes will be temporarily closed to facilitate Exit 4A construction work.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will temporarily close multiple southbound lanes for four nights to set steel girders on the new Exit 4A bridge in Derry/Londonderry.

Commencing at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening, January 2, 2024 southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane nightly during the week.

The lane closures will span from mile marker 15 to mile marker 13, with traffic being condensed to one lane near mile marker 14 throughout the project area. These closures are necessary for the installation of new girders on the Exit 4A bridge that spans over I-93. Motorists should anticipate delays of 20 minutes while traveling through the work zone. The scheduled work will be conducted nightly from January 2, 2024 through the morning of the January 6, 2024, with closure hours anticipated between 7:00 pm and 4:00 am.  Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

Motorists are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.

This ongoing project is part of the larger $45 million I-93 Exit 4A Interchange construction initiative situated between Exits 4 and 5. Weaver Brothers Construction Company, headquartered in Bow, NH, serves as the general contractor for this project.
