Nighttime Road Work on I-95

Work will impact traffic from Greenland to Portsmouth

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will begin roadway resurfacing on Sunday evening, April 25, 2021 on Interstate 95 from Greenland to Portsmouth.

Work will begin on I-95 southbound and is scheduled to be completed between the hours of 8:00 pm and 5:00 am. The construction crews will be working Sunday night through Thursday night, and will require the use of lane closures. Some minor daytime work that doesn’t affect traffic may be performed. Message boards will be in place to notify the traveling public. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

All work is weather dependent. Based on the current schedule, the work will be performed throughout this summer, on both northbound and southbound lanes, and will be completed by June 24, 2022.  Real Time traffic information is available at http://www.newengland511.org/.  Motorists are encouraged to sign up for “MyTrips” to receive text or email messages related to traffic issues.

This work is part of a $8.62 million Turnpike Resurfacing Program.  The general contractor is Brox Industries, Inc of Dracut, Massachusetts.
