Peterborough 27712 Public Informational Meeting

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will host a Public Informational Meeting to discuss the replacement of the Route 202 bridge over the Contoocook River in Peterborough, NH.  
 
This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be made available during the public informational meeting. 
 
The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St, Peterborough, NH starting at 6:00pm. The public is encouraged to attend and participate. 
 
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate or replace the Red Listed bridge over the Contoocook River. This public meeting will include a presentation on the existing conditions, design considerations, design alternatives, and project schedule. 
 
Citizens and public officials will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts regarding existing deficiencies to ensure that the project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals and protect and enhance the environment.
