Temporary Road Closure in Newton - Rescheduled

Note: The start of this work was rescheduled to Monday, July 19, 2021 because of the weather.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin construction work on Monday, July 26, 2021 on Whittier Street in Newton NH, that will require closing a section of the road to all traffic for three days.

NHDOT maintenance crews will replace a 36-inch RCP culvert and message boards will detour traffic to West Main Street, to Peaslee Cross Road, to Route 108, to Highland Street.   Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
