The Blue Star Turnpike segment of the Turnpike System extends from the Massachusetts state line in Seabrook to the Maine state line in Portsmouth. It is 16.2 miles in length and constitutes a portion of I-95.
The Blue Star Turnpike serves as the major connecting road between the states of Massachusetts and Maine. It also parallels the seacoast and, as such, is the major artery for tourist traffic to the New Hampshire coast. The route also connects with several major highways in NH, including NH 101, US 4 and the Spaulding Turnpike.
Two toll plazas are located in Hampton, one for main line traffic and one for vehicles entering and leaving the system at Exit 2 to NH101. There is a Turnpikes maintenance facility in Hampton along I-93, as well as park and ride facilities to encourage car-pooling. Visit NH RideShare for detailed park and ride information. A Welcome Center along I-95 (northbound only) is located in the town of Seabrook just north of the Massachusetts state line.
Hampton Main Toll Plaza
Hampton Open Road Toll
Hampton Toll Plaza opened on June 24, 1950. The toll plaza has grown to contain 16 lanes and along with the Hooksett mainline plaza is the largest plaza in the state. As the only toll on I-95, we welcome tourists into the state. The plaza was converted to an open road toll (ORT) facility in June 2010 and has 2 ORT lanes in each direction, as well as 6 cash/E-ZPass lanes in each direction.
Hampton Side Toll Plaza
Hampton Side Toll is conveniently located between I95 and Route 101, which provide easy access to Hampton Beach or our Portsmouth/Seacoast area.
