Andover Public Officials Meeting
NHDOT to address concerns with the bridge over Blackwater River on US Route 4.
New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) to hold a Public Officials Meeting to address concerns with the structurally deficient and functionally obsolete bridge carrying US Route 4 over Blackwater River (Br. No. 143/077). A new vertical alignment on US Route 4 may be required to satisfy hydraulic opening criteria.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Town Hall, 31 School Street, Andover, NH. The meeting will be held as part of the regularly scheduled Selectboard’s meeting.
The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts regarding potential improvements to ensure that the project decision meets public transportation needs and community goals and protect and enhance the environment. This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the Public Officials Meeting.
NHDOT programs and services will be administered in accordance with the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all applicable regulations to ensure nondiscrimination.
