Belmont 43352 Public Informational Meeting
NHDOT will solicit community input to review potential improvements for the intersection of NH 140 (Depot Street) and Main Street in Belmont
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a Public Informational Meeting to discuss potential improvements to the intersection of NH 140 (Depot Street) and Main Street. The 2013 Lakes Region Planning Commission NH Route 140 Corridor Study identified safety and traffic operations issues and solutions to improve the NH 140 and Main Street intersection. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the community’s concerns, review the potential alternatives, and solicit feedback to ensure that the project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals. The meeting is scheduled for September 26, 2024 at 6:00PM at the Belmont Mill, 4th Floor, 14 Mill Street, in Belmont and the agenda for this includes:
• 5:30 PM, Doors will open for informal viewing of presentation materials
• 6:00 PM, Presentation
• 7:00 PM, Question & Answer Session
• 7:30 PM, Adjourn

An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on natural and cultural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
