Bridge Closure and Detour in Woodstock
Road users will be impacted on NH Route 175 for four days.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that project work on the Route 175 bridge over the Pemigewasset River in Woodstock, located a half mile south of Tripoli Road at Exit 31 of I-93, will require closing Route 175 at this location for a period of four days, from October 1 through October 4, 2024.
This work will consist of sheet pile cofferdam removal in the Pemigewasset River from the bridge deck. This work will require the full-time (24-hour) closure of Route 175 at the bridge with a signed detour in place to direct road users around the closure and to their destinations.
Northbound Route 175 road users will be diverted onto South Station Road to Route 3 South and back onto I-93 Northbound at Exit 30, then to the Exit 31 off ramp at Tripoli Road. Southbound Route 175 traffic will be diverted at Tripoli Road and onto I-93 southbound at Exit 31, then to the Exit 30 off-ramp to Route 3 North, to South Station Road.
Message boards, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public. Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
This work is part of the Woodstock scour repair project (#42534) on Route 175 over the Pemigewasset River.
R.M. Piper of Plymouth, NH is the general contractor for the $2.1 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2024.
