Bridge Maintenance Work in Monroe

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will close a lane on the Monroe, NH bridge that carries Barnet Road (aka North Monroe Road) over the Connecticut River to Barnet, VT to perform maintenance work.

On Monday, August 29, 2022, NH Bridge Maintenance crews will close one lane and begin working to replace the wearing course overlay on the bridge deck.  To complete the project, one lane of alternating traffic will be used and controlled by temporary traffic signals. The lane width restriction will be 11’-6”.

This is a full time 24/7 lane restriction, and the work will take approximately six weeks to complete.
