Bridge Maintenance Work on Route 3 in Franconia

Bridge painting will require detouring wide loads for six to eight weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has begun maintenance work to the southbound Route 3 bridge over I-93 in Franconia, which will require reducing the width of the lane and detouring wide loads for six to eight weeks.

Starting today, the Route 3 southbound bridge over I-93, which is also the southbound on-ramp to I-93, will be reduced to 13’6” and the speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph. All wide loads will be detoured via signage to use Route 141 northwest to I-93 north to Exit 37 where they can circle back to southbound.

Monoko, LLC of Florida is the contractor on this project.
