Culvert Work on Route 85 in Exeter
Temporary lanes closures will be required for the next four weeks.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has started work to rehabilitate an existing culvert pipe carrying Rocky Hill Brook under Route 85 in Exeter.
This project consists of slip lining an existing 42-inch corrugated metal pipe with a new 36-inch plastic pipe, constructing a new concrete headwall and installing a 3-D printed diffuser at the outlet.
Motorists should anticipate daily shoulder closures and periodic one-way alternating traffic through the work zone. It is anticipated that work will take approximately four weeks to complete. Motorists are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
NHDOT programs and services are administered by the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all applicable regulations to ensure nondiscrimination.
