Daytime Rolling Roadblocks on the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington

Northbound and Southbound travel will be impacted intermittently between 10 am and 2 pm for two weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be performing daytime utility work under the Spaulding Turnpike near Exit 3 in Newington for the next two weeks beginning on Thursday, August 29, 2024.  Work will not be performed during the weekends and should be completed by Friday, September 13, 2024.

NH State Police will lead rolling roadblocks as needed, both northbound and southbound, along the Spaulding Turnpike between exits 1 and 6 to allow construction crews to safely complete the work.  A concrete barrier with a sand barrel array will also be installed on the southbound slow lane shoulder, at mile marker 2.95, to protect crews during the construction.

Road users should expect some delays during construction and are advised to be alert, obey all posted signs, and reduce speed through the work zone.

Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
