Daytime Work Begins on Route 101 in Amherst and Milford

Daytime lane shifts will be utilized for guardrail replacement work.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will resume daytime work on a section of NH Route 101 in Milford and Amherst on Monday, October 18, 2021. This phase of work is expected to take four weeks to complete.

Weather permitting, daytime lane shifts will be utilized between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm to accommodate guardrail replacement work. 

Work areas include NH Route 101 from Elm Street in Milford to Blueberry Hill Road in Amherst, including all on and off ramps at NH Route 13, NH Route 101A, and NH Route 122. Guardrail work is anticipated to continue through the month of October. 

Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of any traffic pattern changes. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $6.2 million resurfacing on NH Route 101 in Milford and Amherst, with an anticipated completion date of September 9, 2022. The general contractor is Pike Industries, Inc. of Belmont, NH.
