Hurricane Mountain Road Seasonal Closing

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be closing Hurricane Mountain Road in North Conway, the week of November 4, 2024. The road will be closed to allow the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) to construct a ground water monitoring well near the Black Cap Trail Head. The closure is meant to coincide with normal seasonal closure of the road during winter months. Hurricane Mountain Road will reopen in 2025 after spring thaw restrictions are lifted and any debris from winter storm events has been cleared by NHDOT crews.
