Newton 29617 Finding of Necessity Conference
To discuss the intersection of Route 108, Amesbury Road and Maple Avenue.
The Commission of Three appointed by the Governor and Executive Council for the project noted above will meet on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 12:00 pm, at the NH Department of Transportation, Room 161, 7 Hazen Drive in Concord, NH to discuss the proposed intersection project in Newton, NH. The Commission Members are:
- Janet Stevens, Chairperson, Executive Councilor
- Chris Jacobs, Commission member
- Charlie Melvin, Commission Member
This meeting is a public proceeding under RSA Chapter 91-A. The intent of the meeting is not to take testimony, but rather, serve as a decision-making forum for the Commission. The public may observe the proceedings.
The proposed project will reconstruct the intersection of NH Route 108, Amesbury Road and Maple Avenue, as well as alter the approaches of NH Route 108, reconfiguring the intersection to a traditional four-way stop design. The proposed work will extend approximately 300 feet north and west along NH Route 108, approximately 300 feet south along Amesbury Road and approximately 200 feet east along Maple Avenue.
