Nighttime Paving Work at Exit 17 on I-93 in Concord

The Exit 17 southbound on-ramp will be closed for one night. A milled surface is anticipated for some period of time.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) and the City of Concord have begun road milling and final paving work on Route 4, and I-93 Exit 17 southbound on ramps in Concord, NH.  Weather permitting, the work will be done at night, in phases, over the next 10 days.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, August 30 and 31, 2022 the contractor will be milling the pavement on Route 4 in the area of Whitney Road, which will remain as a milled surface for about a week.  Motorcycles and cyclists should use caution in this area.

On Tuesday evening, September 6, 2022 from 7:00 pm to Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 5:30 am, the contractor will be paving the west bound lanes of US Route 4 (Hoit Road), the roundabout at the intersection of Whitney Road, and Whitney Road.  Traffic will be one lane alternating guided by uniformed police officers through the roundabout and approach lanes.

On Wednesday evening, September 7, 2022 from 7:00 pm to Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 5:30 am, the contractor will be paving the east bound lanes of US Route 4 (Hoit Road). Traffic will be one lane alternating guided by uniformed police officers through the roundabout and approach lanes.

Access to the southbound on-ramp will be temporarily closed to vehicles traveling eastbound on Hoit Road.

On Wednesday evening, September 7, 2022 from 10:00 pm to Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 4:00 am, the contractor will begin paving work on the I-93 Exit 17 southbound on-ramp in Concord. Access will be temporarily closed to vehicles traveling eastbound on Hoit Road. The Exit 17 southbound on-ramp for vehicles traveling westbound on Hoit Road will remain open. Eastbound Motorists will be detoured south to I-93 Exit 16 via Route 132 (Mountain Road) and are urged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
