Nighttime Sign Work on I-95 in Portsmouth
Temporary lane closures will be required between 7 pm and 5 am for six weeks.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin work to repair and replace overhead highway signs on Interstate 95, northbound and southbound, in the Portsmouth area starting on Sunday night, May 21, 2023.
Weather permitting the work will take six weeks to complete and will be performed Sunday through Thursday nights, between the hours of 7 pm and 5 am. Message boards will be in place to direct the traveling public and motorists should remain alert while traveling through the work zone and obey all posted signs. This work is part of a $9.3 million Turnpike Program. The general contractor is Green Mountain Communications of Pembroke, NH.
