Nighttime work at EXIT 2 on I- 89 in Concord
This work will require temporarily closing the Exit 2 northbound off ramp overnight for drainage work.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be closing the Exit 2 northbound off ramp on Thursday, October 5, 2023 as part of the Exit 2 ramp widening work in Concord.
Weather permitting, the Northbound off ramp from Interstate I-89 will be closed from 9:00pm to 6:00am to accommodate the replacement of drainage pipe.
The traveling public should follow the posted detour to Exit 3 and use I-89 Southbound to the Exit 2 off-ramp as an alternative route during this closure.
The Exit 2 Southbound ramps and the Exit 2 Northbound on-ramp will remain open at all times during the Northbound off ramp closure.
Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to direct and inform local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
This work is part of the $2.9 Million ramp widening and signalizing project at the Exit 2 interchange, with a completion date of August 23, 2024. The general contractor is B.U.R. Construction, LLC of Newport, NH.
