Paving Work on Route 16 in Dover
This work will require lane closures in the southbound barrel for 18 to 24 hours.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will conduct roadway milling and paving operations on the Southbound Spaulding Turnpike (NH Route 16) in Dover, north of the Dover Toll Plaza starting on Friday evening, October 14, 2022 continuing thru the day on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Weather permitting the work will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Lane closures will be utilized for this work leaving one lane for thru traffic on the Southbound Barrel approaching the Dover Toll Plaza. Uniformed Police Officers will be present for traffic control during these operations. Motorists should exercise caution when driving through the construction zone. The overall duration of this milling and paving work is anticipated to be 24 hours.
The proposed work is part of the Dover-Rochester 29440 project. RS Audley, Inc of Bow New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $23 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in June, 2024.
