Portsmouth 29640 Public Informational Meeting  

NHDOT to discuss proposed improvements to a section of US Route 1. 

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a Public Informational Meeting to discuss roadway improvements to approximately 1.7 miles of US Route 1 (Lafayette Road), beginning on the south end at the intersection of Ocean Road/Longmeadow Road extending north to the intersection of Wilson Road. The purpose of this project is to improve the existing traffic operations and safety for all modes of transportation along US Route 1. 

The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm for an informal viewing of the plans) in the Public Meeting Room at Community Campus, 100 Campus Drive in Portsmouth, NH. 

The meeting will begin with a project presentation followed by a question and comment period with the project team.
