Railroad Crossing Reconstruction on Route 31 in Wilton

The intersection of NH Route 31 and Burns Hill Road will be closed for seven days.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin reconstruction work of the railroad at-grade crossing on Route 31 and Burns Hill Road in downtown Wilton on Friday, July 12, 2024. 

The intersection will be completely closed to vehicle traffic, which will be diverted onto detours around the work zone beginning the morning of Friday, July 12, 2024 and continuing until the afternoon of Thursday, July 18, 2024.  

The Route 31 detour will be signed for travel via Main Street and NH Route 101.  Burns Hill Road traffic will be diverted onto Wilson Road and Route 101.

RS Audley of Bow, NH is the prime contractor for the $3,743,600 project, which is scheduled to be completed by October 25, 2024.
