Road Work on Meredith Neck Road in Meredith

Temporary lane closures and full closures will impact road users for three weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin daytime road work on Meredith Neck Road in Meredith on Monday, September 3, 2024.

This work consists of removing/replacing a failing granite block box culvert. A new precast concrete culvert will be installed. The culvert is located on Meredith Neck Road just south of the intersection of Pleasant Street and Barnard Ridge Road.

Weather permitting this minor road work will require the use of one-way alternating traffic.  Road users will be directed by flaggers through the work zone.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, a full road closure will be required to complete the work. Traffic will be detoured on to Wagon Wheel Trail Road for approximately two weeks.

Message boards, flaggers, and traffic control devices will be used to notify the traveling public.  Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/

H.E. Sargent Corp. of Orono, Maine is the general contractor for the $732,430 project, scheduled to be completed this fall.
