Sign Work on Interstate 393, Concord to Chichester
Rolling Roadblocks will impact Traffic on I-93 Northbound and Southbound.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be removing existing signs on I-393, between Exits 1 and the Chichester/Pembroke town line, including bridge-mounted signs on the exit 2 bridge over I-393. This work will take place over two nights, beginning Sunday night, August 27, 2023.
Weather permitting, crews will work Sunday and Monday nights and will require temporary lane closures, rolling roadblocks and intermittent 15-minute closures while the signs are being removed.
Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to notify the traveling public. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
Motorists are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
This work is part of the $477,790.53 sign replacement project on I-393, both eastbound and westbound. The estimated completion date is October 20, 2023, and the general contractor is Northeast Traffic Control Services, Inc. of Plymouth, MA.
