Temporary Closure of Mt. Orne Covered Bridge in Lancaster
Repairs will take two weeks to complete.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that the Town of Lancaster will be closing the Mt. Orne Covered Bridge to make repairs starting on Monday, March 6, 2023.
The bridge is near NH Route 135 and extends over the Connecticut River from Lancaster, NH to Lunenburg, VT.
The repairs will require fully closing the bridge for the next two weeks and the NHDOT is encouraging motorists to plan ahead and seek an alternate route.
