Temporary Road Closure in Lyme

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin culvert repair work on Monday, July 26, 2021, on several sections on East Thetford Road in Lyme, which will require closing the road to all traffic from 7 am to 3 pm for several days.  Weather permitting, the work is expected to be finished by Friday, July 30, 2021.
 
Due to culvert pipe depth and narrowness of the work zones, the road will be closed to thru traffic during working hours (7am to 3pm) allowing local traffic only on either side.  East Thetford Road will be reopened at the end of each work day. Variable message boards will be located at Route 10 and River Road alerting motorists to seek alternate routes. 
 
The public is encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to reach their destination.
