Woodstock Public Officials/ Public Informational Meeting

Arrangements have been made by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) to hold a combined Public Officials/Public Informational meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of the historic arch bridge carrying NH 175 over the Pemigewasset River in Woodstock, NH. 
 
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 5:00 pm at the Woodstock Town Office at 165 Lost River Road, Woodstock, NH. The NHDOT will present the proposed work on this Red List bridge which involves replacement of the existing open steel grid decking with a solid surface, replacement of the floor system and wire rope ties, and cleaning and painting of the structural steel.  The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions. 
 
The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the project and to solicit input to ensure that the project decisions meet the public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.  The project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the national register of historic places.  Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become consulting parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
